The Habit of Gratitude

One or two times a week I take the bus, then catch the Light Rail to work, to help reduce air pollution. Often as I’m using public transportation, I catch myself being very grateful for the minimum time to wait (only two or three minutes between the bus and Light Rail!), for it gets me to work faster. 

This reminds me of a habit I created years ago: feeling gratitude several times each day for various things, such as being able to get out of bed, having my stove turn on, my awesome vegetable garden, my car starting, my friends, and many other things.
